This mid-program orientation is designed for master’s students in thesis-based programs across all disciplines who are navigating this shift. Whether you’re preparing for your first independent research project or looking for ways to enhance your academic autonomy, this event aims to provide guidance and strategies to succeed.

 

Our goal is to empower you with the skills, strategies, and mindset necessary to thrive as a graduate researcher. Through expert-led workshops and discussions, you'll gain insights on critical topics such as:

 

  • Library resources for better research outcomes

  • Time management, research and thesis planning

  • Healthy writing habits  

  • Constructive supervisor relations

NOTE: Morning sessions (9:00 am – 12:30 p.m.) are mandatory to attend. Lunch break and afternoon sessions are optional. Check out the detailed event schedule.
