This seminar series in university teaching will prepare graduate students for an academic teaching career.

The estimated time commitment is 57 hours, including in-class time, readings and assignments.

Learning Objectives

Having successfully completed this seminar, you will be able to:
  • demonstrate knowledge regarding the theory and practice of university teaching;
  • design and deliver lessons with greater confidence;
  • develop a course syllabus based on a principled approach to course design;
  • articulate your own teaching philosophy in a written statement identifying your approach and perspectives on teaching and learning.
