Description

This free online program allows graduate students, postdocs and researchers in STEM, social sciences and humanities in Québec to explore scientific entrepreneurship. The program introduces you to fundamental entrepreneurial concepts including how to map out your business idea using the business model canvas, identify your target audience, zero-in on the value of your solution for a specific market and plan your product/service development.

 

Why join the QcSE program?

 

If you have an idea based on your research with commercial potential or social impact, this program will help you master the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, while preparing you to potentially join an incubator. If you don’t yet have an entrepreneurial project idea but are eager to develop entrepreneurial skills, this program is also for you, to enrich your personal toolkit and boost your future projects.

 

Do you meet the eligibility criteria for admission?

 

You are currently conducting or have conducted research at a university or affiliated institution in Quebec.
You are or have been a student (Master’s, PhD, or post-doc), researcher, or research assistant at a Quebec institution.


Program overview:

 

  • 12 weeks, free virtual program

  • 1 hour live virtual class + 2 hrs of self-guided work per week

  • For the English cohort, program sessions every Tuesday starting September 9th, 12pm-1pm, till December 2nd

  • Open to Graduate students, postdocs and researchers in STEM and Humanities and Social Sciences
