Empower yourself with the tools needed for effective communication and learn how to convey ideas and share your knowledge to diverse audiences. In this 5-week training program you will develop skills and insights necessary to navigate the complex landscape of communicating with the public. From reflecting about your communication objectives and audiences, to developing strategies to communicate effectively orally, in writing and through social media, this program will help you create compelling messages tailored to your audience, ensuring your message resonates and leaves a lasting impact.

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
 
  • Identify a message or finding they want to share and who it will impact
  • Apply strategies to communicate their research to diverse audiences
  • Use different platforms to convey findings from their research

The Strategic Public Communications Training is facilitated by GradProSkills in collaboration with the University Communications Services (UCS), University Advancement and Alumni Relations, and V1 Studio.

Embark on a transformative journey to become an effective communicator and share your research ideas and findings!
 
Registrants who actively participate in all the sessions will be eligible to receive the Strategic Public Communications Training certificate.
 
Completion of this training is a mandatory requirement to apply to the Public Scholars program.
