Description

This introductory workshop will provide you with the skills needed to design models for the Sandbox 3D printers. After completing this workshop you will be able to explain the basics of 3D printing and 3D design, design appropriately for 3D printing, modify an existing 3D design, and export a model for 3D design.

No prior knowledge of design or 3D printing required. Although not a requirement, we suggest to bring in your own laptop or device for this session.

Leaders Information

Melissa Rivosecchi is the Teaching & Research Librarian, Social Sciences at Concordia University Library. She provides research and instructional support to students and faculty in Education, Art Education, Creative Arts Therapies and Psychology programs. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Environment (Concordia University), a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS, McGill University), and a GrDP in Instructional Technology (Concordia University). Her research interests include topics related to experiential learning, traditional crafting in makerspaces, evidence synthesis, and educational technology.
