TA Orientation for Fine Arts (Section 2) | GPTK700

Description

Are you starting your first Teaching Assistant contract or want a refresher for working another term? Join us for this 2-hour orientation facilitated by the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

The session will offer insights into building a positive experience for yourself, the instructor and your students, as well as introduce you to resources available to help you thrive in your role including CREW, the union for Concordia TAs/RAs.

Break-out rooms enable students to choose two aspects of the TA experience for more focused exploration. Topics to choose from include: preparing to teach, grading & feedback, and building an inclusive classroom environment.

This session is open to TAs from all faculties and roles (tutorial/lab/studio leader, marker/grader).
