Have you heard that networking is an important professional tool in helping you build your career? Do you understand the importance of networking but don’t quite know what’s expected of you, how exactly to network and the tangible ways networking can help you in building and advancing your career? Sign up for our speed networking event where we’ll prep you with all the basics you need to know to successfully network and then provide you with an opportunity to put your newly developed skills to work by facilitating a speed networking session with alumni from various industries.  

Of course, it wouldn’t be a networking event without some food and beverages which we will supply to sustain you throughout the evening!

Leaders Information

Bob Menard: A graduate in commerce from McGill University, Bob started his career in marketing and research within the private education sector in Toronto. After obtaining his MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University, he moved to Montreal and took on the role of Graduate Career Advisor at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University. In the over twenty years that Bob has been in his role, he has been advising students on career orientation/transition planning, job search strategy, and resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile preparation. He has also delivered workshops on additional topics such as interviewing, dining etiquette, Cracking the Case Interview, Negotiating the Job Offer, and developing an Elevator Pitch.

  • Research attending companies of interest to prepare directed questions related to your professional interests.

  • Come with an open mind, a pen and a notebook (or laptop) to absorb relevant points to help you succeed in your networking journey.

  • Make sure your LinkedIn profile is up to date to confidently build connections with professionals of interest.
