Description

This seminar series in university teaching will prepare graduate students for an academic teaching career.

The estimated time commitment is 57 hours, including in-class time, readings and assignments. This section takes place over five weekdays from Wednesday, August 17 to Tuesday, August  23, 2022.

Learning Objectives

Having successfully completed this seminar, you will be able to:
  • demonstrate knowledge regarding the theory and practice of university teaching;
  • design and deliver lessons with greater confidence;
  • develop a course syllabus based on a principled approach to course design;
  • articulate your own teaching philosophy in a written statement identifying your approach and perspectives on teaching and learning.
