Mai-Gee Hum: Mai-Gee Hum is Senior National Manager – University Relations & Talent Acquisition at AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization that connects people, data and technology to transform the world’s infrastructure and energy systems. Prior to AtkinsRéalis, she worked at Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business for over 15 years with her most recent role as Director of Career Management Services. Mai-Gee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from McGill University and a Master of Science degree in Management from HEC-Montreal. She is most passionate about enabling students to reach their career aspirations and full professional potential. In her free time, Mai-Gee enjoys spinning, skiing, and spending time with her family.
Beth McKenna: Passionate for education and developing early talent, Beth started her career as an Assistant Manager for the Schulich School of Music’s Recruitment and Admissions team at McGill University, progressing upon completion of her B.Ed degree, into working as a high school teacher in the EMSB and LBPSB school boards in Montreal. Beth’s passion for higher education led her to return to working in higher education with Concordia University, with Alumni Relations—focused in Student Engagement and also Graduate Student Recruitment for the John Molson School of Business. Wanting more challenges to her career, Beth moved into the video game sector with Unity Technologies in their Montreal “hub” office as a Senior Recruiter, then working for Avid Technologies as a Lead Recruiter for North America and Early Talent, leading to her prior role in leading ABB’s Early Talent outreach strategy, campus relations and university partnerships across Canada. Beth is starting her new position as National Talent Acquisition Manager – Campus (Audit and Assurance) at Deloitte in November.
Jordana Scarapicchia: Jordana has over 15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition/HR and is currently an Employment Advisor at Concordia University, where she has spent the last seven years hiring non-academic staff. Jordana has a degree from Concordia University in Applied Human Sciences - Human Relations as well as a CHRA Designation. Jordana also works as a part-time lecturer in CEGEP.
Steven Furlano: "My academic journey began at Concordia, where I studied Finance within the John Molson School of Business. As part of the co-op program, I landed an internship at Aerotek, which unexpectedly sparked my passion for recruitment. I was fortunate to secure a role with Aerotek, while completing my studies and staying with the firm for nearly 4 years. During this time, I occupied various roles that allowed me to lead a team of recruiters and work with clients in numerous industries.
Nearly 3 years ago, I joined Deloitte as a Senior Recruitment Advisor. At Deloitte, I manage the firms national recruitment efforts for groups such as Financial Advisory, Tax, and Legal. I get to collaborate with partners and stakeholders across Canada in identifying top talent, implementing innovative strategies, and assembling high-performing teams in various areas of expertise."
Ibrahim Diarra is a dedicated professional with expertise in talent acquisition and human resources. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from Laval University in 2014 and a diploma in Economic and Social Sciences from the Prytanée National Militaire in France. Passionate about talent management and information technology, he has built a diverse career reflecting his commitment to excellence.
Ibrahim began his career as an HR consultant in the industrial sector in 2014 and shifted to the managed services industry in 2017. He has developed talent acquisition strategies and played a key role in employer branding. In 2019, he managed talent recruitment in Business Intelligence and Actuarial fields for a major Canadian insurance cooperative.
Since 2022, he has taken on the challenges of artificial intelligence as a Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor at Mila, the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute. Ibrahim is also actively involved in his community, serving on the board of a nonprofit organization and the professional inspection committee for HR consultants. He received the Top Recruiter Canada 2022 award, underscoring his expertise in talent acquisition. His journey exemplifies a harmonious blend of passion for technology, positive community impact, and ongoing social commitment.
